i need some help i went to the doctor and no issues found. and i can't figure it out. last 3-4 weeks i have felt worthless. headache feels like a tension headache..... then spots on the back of my tongue like little bumps..... then my vains have looked green and blue where i notice them more all around my body. then the slight chest pains but the thing that is killing me is the dizzy and being light headed most of the day the last 3-4 weeks. i am afraid to even drive cause went to the grocery store a week ago that was a mile away from my house and felt like my legs were going to give up on me being in the store and faint feeling as well in there. urine is yellow but has improved from the dark yellow it was. my heart rate is between 70-110 so im guessing that is normal? i am just wondering what is up im 31 years old 6'1 and 140 right now. have lost some weight during this whole thing. any ideas?

thanks

Hi mikep3000, it's good that you went to the doctor and got a clean bill of health. You are probably feeling that it might have been easier to accept, had the doctor found something you could put your finger on. It certainly sounds like you have anxiety which produces all these on going symptoms of concern for you. It seems like when we are anxious, we focus in on each and every little bump, pain, feeling etc. Maybe I can help a little by explaining some of the issues you are experiencing. A tension/muscular headache is very liable when your anxiety is out of control. The slight chest pains coming again from the tight chest wall and not the heart are scary. Your urine having been dark yellow and now yellow was probably due to dehydration. Focusing in on the heart rate is not abnormal with the anxiety prone patient. 70-110 is quite normal. Your weight may be a little low for being 6'1 but then again being anxious and worrying raises your metabolism causing you to burn more calories. The biggest clue of an anxiety disorder diagnosis is the lightheaded feeling as if you might faint that you feel as well as the jelly legs that felt like they would no longer carry you. Anxiety is very hard to accept. But there are steps you can take to get this under control. One of them being therapy with medication prescribed if necessary. Other things you can learn and do for more control is relaxation techniques, deep breathing, cognitive behavior therapy etc. There are a multitude of modalities out there that can make your symptoms lessen. Try not to get overwhelmed at the beginning. One step at a time.

mikep, when you went to your doctor, did he mention anything about anxiety to you? The lightheaded feeling comes from shallow breathing because of our anxiousness. That is why deep breathing becomes important to use daily. Taking 10 min out of the day, twice a day, to do relaxation and deep breathing. It will help your body learn what it feels like to fully relax as well as rid you of the light headed feeling. Also, dehydration can cause that spacy feeling as well. Drinking plenty of water during the day helps. The jelly legs again is because of not breathing properly plus every muscle in our body is tense. As for the veins being noticeable through out your body, I've experience myself. I don't know what the explanation is for that except it is not dangerous. Sometimes we are just focusing on things that may be normal but with us it sends up a red flag. I fully understand how you just feel sick and tired of feeling like this. You do need to pursue forward, of course if anything different or new develops, then a call or visit to your doctor is warranted. I'm glad you are in the forum so you can get the support you need. It's not a fun thing to deal with because others who don't experience anxiety have no idea what it is like. This group does and they care and are understanding. Someone is always on line to help.
