Gee Colby you sound like me. I just finished watching a movie and during that time I could see the tv fine. As soon as I came downstairs to my computer, the blurry vision started. Oh by the way, I also spend my days with blinds drawn because the sunlight bothers my eyes. They say that too much darkness isn't good because your eyes can't adjust to the brightness.
I've been watching the television in the dark for as long as I can remember because it seems, at least to me, a better experience. There are no lights in cinemas apart from emergency exit ones and toilets. Have you adjusted the brightness ( light saturation) on your television? If not then give it a go and see if there is any difference. If the blurry vision continues then it may be a good idea to book and appointment with an optician. It is a myth that too much darkness is detrimental to your vision. The eye is a considerably complicated bit of the body and is amazing what it can do. But eyesight is precious. Are you diabetic? That would mean you would be given regular appointments for retinopathy tests. That may be worth considering.
I would visit your GP were I you. They would be able to help you so long as you tell them the whole of your symptoms and concerns. It would be helpful if you wrote yourself a list of everything you would wish to say. They will not mind you doing that. I wish you well.
