This morning I woke up, minimal anxiety, then I drank a coffee. Now I'm feeling it. Ugh. I'm shaky, can't think, head pressure and super nauseous. I may have ruined what could have been a good day. Coffee isn't dangerous for people with anxiety is it? It just sucks? haha

No it's not but my therapist told me to try and cut down on coffee, tea, fizzy drinks etc. She said she's not saying everything will change if I stop, but maybe little, or maybe try decaf x

Hi someone, there is no way on earth that I could handle regular coffee without experiencing tightness in my chest and skipped heartbeats, shakiness too. The amount of caffeine in regular coffee is too stimulating for the anxious person. I drink a good decaf coffee with a flavored creamer and get the same "ah moment" w/o the bad side effects. There is a lot of oil in regular coffee which could make you nasuseous. Try to flush out your system by drinking a lot of water, that will at least shorten the amount of time you feel bad. oh I know how you feel if I wasn't intolerant to coffe I'd be an addict I love it so much but it brings on my anxiety to the max. Hope it wears off try drinking lots of chamomile today to flush it out.
I know! Before my anxiety I used to love coffee and drink it all the time no problem. Its hard to get used to this
Try decf coffee caffeine is not good for us with anxiety I haven't had caffeine in alimony 10 years
I'm the sane, coffee makes my anxiety go through the roof! Decaf tastes just as good if you get the right brand, and doesn't cause any of the symptoms 😊
Sounds so familiar. Hang in there you will be OK .just try to meditate
I only drink decaf coffee as well... althought even decaf sometimes gives me tightness on my forehead. now I'm mostly tea, some not as potent (as coffee), but it's good to have something warm to drink!
