My head has this pressure in it I sometimes feel like I'm in a boat swaying back and forth when I'm laying down this pressure hits me and I get so scared of having a tumor in my head I get this weird feeling I might have a seizure or stroke my sister who is medically trained tells me it's all anxiety but I'm scared. does anyone else feel this way?

Me too!

Me too! All the time :( I too have sat worrying it could be a Tumor despite the fact I've been told it not.

How do you get over it

Hi apayett, It most likely is anxiety induced. I have gotten this myself for many years.

It doesn't seem to take much for that boat to start swaying back and forth. I know the feeling all to well. As for the pressure in my head, I find relief with using a Sobakawa

buckwheat pillow to sleep on. It's easier to scrunch up so it cradles my neck and head.

A lot of the pressure that we are feeling in our head is coming from the extremely tense muscles of our neck and back of head. I also use headphones when in bed listening to a relaxation/meditation tape to calm down the tighten muscles. During the day I use hot paks on the back of my neck to release the muscles which will in turn provide more blood flow and bring down the pressure. It works for me. I wish you well in finding what works for you.

Hi

Where do you get the hot packs from and would a hot water bottle do the same job,? I would like to see if I can find a way to get rid of the muscle tension in my neck and shoulders.

Thanks

Hi es27, How are you doing today? There are several ways to approach the muscle tightness in the neck and shoulders. (mine is so tight right now that I feel as if someone is choking me as well).

I use microwavable neck and shoulder heat which takes care of the whole area. My favorite is pulling a hot towel or jacket out of the dryer and placing it around your tense area. Immediately you will feel the shoulders fall back in normal position and start to relax. That's when I realize that I've been walking around with my shoulders practically touching my ears. When I worked, my doctor prescribed

a Lidocaine 4x7 inch patch that sticks to the skin. Can be worn for up to 12 hours under clothing. That might provide you some relief while you are at work. It's a terrible feeling along with everything else we experience. I wish you well. Hope this helps some...

Hi

I went out and got myself one of those heat wrap thingys. I didn't think it got very warm or is it not supposed to, ?

Hope you are having a relaxing day

Hi, It can get too hot if left in microwave too long. You really want it

just comfortably hot to not burn your skin but to reduce the tightness

in your muscles. I hope you get some relief and that it makes it a more

bearable day. Take care.
