does anyone else not sleep ? Been awake 2 Nights now and i feel anxious and lonely😢

Hi Steve, I believe insomnia is a side effect when on some medication, are you on anything or are you simply just not sleeping?

Im on Cilitropam which has helped been 4 weeks now. I wasnt sleeping in the first place so its nothing new. Theres just no one i can talk too who knows how i feel

Not sleeping is the worst, just makes you feel more drained! Maybe you need to try a herbal sleep aid or something?!

As anxiety sufferers, our body fights hard & we continue to keep our adrenaline pumping...even if we aren't having a panic attack or anxiety attack. I don't sleep either, my body can't relax. I'm taking Valium to stop my panic attacks which it is, but it doesn't make me sleepy. I'm only on a small dose, so I guess that is why (I've only been taking them for 3 days) . I find playing a game on my phone helps a little (if I'm not having a major freak out) or reading a book maybe? I'm wide awake so happy to chat :) Kelly x

Hi there Kelly. I was just reading your reply to Steveuk. I think that Valium take a few more days to get into your system, so persevere for a couple more days.

Also, being tired & lack of sleep triggers our anxiety more! You'd think we'd be able to sleep seeing as during the day our body/mind is literally like it's running a marathon! I wish anxiety & every form of mental health NEVER existed...and any illness to be frank! X

Thanks kelly. Im on valium too small dose . they help with anxiety but the doc wont ler me take anymore as they are addictive. Its a viscous circle. No sleep means anxiety. Then Anxiety means no sleep. Night times are awful especially when everyone else is 😴

Hi there. When I went through a spell of not sleeping (other than cat napping during the daytime) I read a book which basically said that we have to "allow" it and eventually our bodies will sleep but we're not to beat ourselves up about it.

Try natural sleep remedies... Eat healthy and fresh, take some calming drink like Rooibos tea..
