I suffer with awful health anxiety. The nervous system is hyper sensitive when we are stressed. What i try and do is use mindfulness there is a fabulous book and audio by professor Mark Williams from Oxford University i purchased it from amazon. I try accept the feeling without attaching emotion to it and then let it pass by. It doesn't always work but it sometimes calms down all the stress hormones circulating.
