I feel for everyone on here and this is only a suggestion....
This site is amazing, when I thought I was going insane, I found through this site I was not alone, I felt part of something and it assisted me on the road to recovery...
However I think as you improve you should step back slightly and look at positive affirmation sites...
I say this as many may be living alone or feeling alone but to adopt the this as your social networking site is not entirely indusive to your recovery, as talking when things are troubling you is a good thing, but to allow it to become a major part of your social circle and conversation will only reinforce your memory into your past illness...
Learn to let go.....
Best wishes on your journey

Many on these sites come on here for support. This support is a vital because it makes people feel not alone with their condition. Of course if they do not need the site that is fare enough they can leave. If they make connections with people they may feel they do not want to lose that friendship. They may feel they want to help others ?.
The other reason my be they wish to help newbies on site and give something back rather than leave without a goodbye. Whatever they may decide it is not up to anyone to feel that these contributors should leave when well??.
We never know if patients need the same support again in the future whether they leave or not. These pages I would imagine would be a sorry place if people cannot stay when well. Remember treatment plans in the NHS are now possibly rationed, this site can in many cases prevent a severe return to their old conditions
It should be left to the person, no-one should even suggest to leave. That is their decision no-one else.
I contribute to many pages, friendships can and do happen, they meet on site and also help others. Even so the site can be a support if a further attack happens remember consistent therapy is best therapy.
Sorry if I have upset you that is not what I am here for. If you yourself have remained on here it must be doing you some good. Please stay
I like your suggestion and only our own mind can help us overcome or anxiety. I love this site add I know that whoever I feel the need I can read others stories and know I am not alone. It helps me to help others too.
I come and go on this site, sometimes here a lot, sometimes just lurking not replying.
My main recovery is in every day life not online.
I get what you're saying but I've not seen any posts on here in the years I've been around, that suggest someone is I dunno overdependent on the site. I think most of us use it like I do, for support. It is social too! For those who find our hard to get out, that important. And I bet even those people have other outlets Facebook or whatever. Be interesting to find out.
So I get it, but I don't think what you're thinking, is happening.
My messages above are REPLYING TO STDE, sorry my replies are not coming after the messages I'm reading and trying to reply to, but I agree totally with you STDE and understand exactly what you say, and couldn't agree with you more.
Given your own circumstances I am surprised you are still using this site to, albeit unintentionally, make others feel upset. This site is here for those who feel they need it. It is not for you to even suggest that people leave. I stick around here because it might be I am able to give some comfort or advice to someone who is more ill than me. This s the second post where you seem to want to provoke a reaction.
your clever use of words does not detract from the essence of the message. I really wonder what you think you are achieving with your posts - except to gain some kind of attention . Perhaps that is your way of asking for help or comfort without seeming 'weak', which is clearly something you dont approve of. My point remains - it is not for you or me to suggest or hint that people should leave this site. That decision is theirs alone.
I can NOT UNDERSTAND AT ALL why you are all being so negative to STDE if you had just read the message in the way it was meant, he/she was saying this site is really good and really does help, but when your feeling better and albe to go it alone, you mite be best as things on here could set you back again, ( dwelling and remembering ) your bad times, surely you can understand he/she has messaged to help / advise people, my counsillor told me exactly the same thing weeks ago when I menchioned this site to her, and also she did say at times it could set me back, when your suffering yourself and reading others this may not suit EVERBODY. So yes STDE I support and agree with you totally. Thank you for a very sensible caring message. Hope your ok
I agree sandraan, he did not say "leave" he said "slightly step back" big difference!!! And he was in no way putting this site down , and it is important in your recovery to give yourself a "break" from time to time .. I'm doing really well the past few days in my recovery so I feel I don't come on as much as I was a few weeks back, but its always reassuring that this site is here if ever I need it , and also I do like to try give advice too . but he's right I mean if you were on a diet would you keep looking up food recipes and talking about food all the time "no" because if you obsess about it to much its on your mind again and then that anxiety cycle starts all over again,we shouldn't let anxiety control our lives as much if we can help it
