Dying from the flu

Guys I just found a local died from the Flu. I'm scared because everyone is getting the flu including me. I'm terrified I might die because I heard that Flu causes 500K deaths a year!!!! I'm so scared help

Deaths from flu unfortunately happens to the old and frail people with very severe illnesses and young children. It is extremely unlikely to kill a healthy teen/adult.

You will be fine just take care of yourself if you are really worried get a flu shot but seriously nothing to worry about.

Whoever told you 500 thousand people die from the flu each year is full of baloney... I got one flu shot about 50 yrs ago, got sick from it, never took one again... had the flu over the years a few times, not fun, but got over it... You just latched on to a sudden fear... its ok...we all do that at times. You will be fine. Talk to your dr if you feel you need to.

If you're in the UK and a local died of the flu you won't. Anyone dying of the flu who is under say 85 is a great rarity. Two in the same locality would be statistically unheard of.

If you need things to worry about , flu killing you is a bad choice. Just does n't happen. Just getting it is quite difficult. I'm 72 and had it once , and that was Asian flu years ago. I was 14. That's how rare it is.

I know these days lots of people take time off with the flu. I doubt many of their bosses believe them especially if they foned in. Believe me if you got flu , you would n't bother much about foning in--but it would n't kill you.
