GPs are not helpful at all,all you get is up the dosage etc diazepam is a lifesaver but I've been told by go they are addictive but after 32 years does it mater I get 28 a month which sometimes is not enough etc 😒

Is there any possibility you could change to another dr? Or have you done that? Sounds like maybe you have tried more than one...

Has something difficult in your life come up lately...that you could possibly pin point that might be the actual reason as to why your meds seem to be no longer helping?

Never heard of anyone being on these kind of drugs for that long~! :) ...and I am glad for you that they seemed to help you for so many years! Anyway I know my post may not be of help, but just want to wish you the best of luck in your search.

I've been on escitalopram (Cipralex) for 12 years and it seems to work pretty well. My grandma is on citalopram for panic and constant worry and they pretty much cured her. My partner is also on citalopram for depression with paranoia and he's a lot better than he was last year when he'd literally wake up freaking out in the middle of the night.

My very young disabled brother has been taking diazepam for over 10 years. They suddenly stopped work for him as well... doctor said it is because the body got use to the drugs.
