I know it's basically the 4th, So I should already know that all I'm hearing is just fireworks and people having fun,
But with all of the anxious thinking and panic attacks I've been dealing with, I just can't help but to jump or to get a little anxious when I hear the loud pops or bangs,
Anyone else dealing with this ?
Not really scared or panicking, just get a little anxious hearing the loud bangs when trying to calm down,

I feel the same way! The fireworks sound makes me a little edgy. Sometimes I worry something other than the fireworks might make a sound and something bad might happen and no one notice because everyone is expecting there will be noise.
One thing I try to do sometimes is to go somewhere quiet and sort of daydream or mediate on what the evening will be like with the fireworks banging and people cheering and the energy level being high. And then when you actually go out this evening you almost had a practise run in your daydream/meditate that everything will be okay.
You know I was getting some anxiety yesterday and I was at six flags. I just started describing objects and took my mind off the anxiety. Sometimes all you can do is distract. It does work better on some days than other days.
