Vertigo and balance problems: Hello... - Anxiety Support
Vertigo and balance problems
Hi I get balance problems and vertigo and constantly not feeling right in the head which causes me to panic. Sometimes I feel like I can't walk or that I am going to fall over
Vertigo, poor balance/balance problems and anxiety are all potential symptoms of B12 deficiency
However, GPs tend to think this is an anaemia and there isn't a good test for it.

I will try more b complex vitamins I have had this my whole life
I have this every day. When I get stressed it gets worse. I have a lot of tension in neck and shoulders, also at the base of my skull. I have a tendency to clench my front teeth, I've noticed, which creates tension across my nose. It really gets me down. I have to be careful not to turn quickly.

Are you still active on this page my symptoms are the same
Yes balance goes bad in and off. I had an MRI they said me I is normal for a woman my age
I have balance issues too. It’s amazing how many physical symptoms you can get from having anxiety. Since I’ve started this anxiety journey, I’ve had heart palpitations, balance issues, headaches, hot flashes, sleeplessness, neck and shoulder pain, ulcers, and GERD just to name a few. I’m tired of this and I do my best everyday to wake up with a smile and be positive sometimes it’s so hard when your dealing with so many symptoms.
I responded to this post 3 years ago. Since then I have had a referral to ENT, been treated for BPPV (loose crystals in my ear canal, had Epley manouver done to reposition crystals and finally attending physio for Vestibular rehabilitation exercises. I also suffer from anxiety and find that my balance is compromised by stress. It is possible to rehabilitate the balance system given the proper treatment, in many cases. I wouldn't accept the excuse of 'it's age related'. Too often that's a given reason for medical complaints. It took me years to get a referral and months of strung out appointments to finally get the right treatment. It's worth getting an ENT assessment. I was told I didn't present the necessary symptoms for a referral - they got that wrong.
I had a vertigo spell this morning and on Thanksgiving it's so scary to wake up seeing the room spinning
I have had it my whole life even as a kid
