Does anyone have anxiety or panic attacks that start with dizziness. I can be in a safe place, calm, and all of the sudden I get dizzy which causes a panic attack to follow shortly there after. So, anyone have this symptom? Any help would be great! Thanks!! It helps to know I'm not alone.

Yes this happened to me yesterday! I wasn't feeling anxious I was happy, a friend and I were booking a holiday, I went all dizzy and hot in the travel agents, then I started to have a panic attack, I managed to ride it out but felt awful. I think it was hot in the shop which caused it, but today feeling very anxious. Nice to know I'm not alone thanks. Chloe

Hi,

In my case I was light headed 24/7 and lack of air sometimes. No panic attack! Now, the Doctor started me on Lorezapam 1MG twice daily and it appear to be working for me. Light headed is 90% gone and lack of air is 75% gone. He wanted me to take it 4 times daily and I said no because it does make you really drowsy and is very addictive. He said the drowsy is a side effect and once that is gone he will reduce the amount and see how I respond. I did take xanax before Lorezapam but it lasted to short and I was already needing more so he changed to Lorezapam.

Check your vitamin levels to see if they are right. Get a blood test and check your Vitamin D and B12.

I have suffered from panic for longer than I care to remember now, it is under control mostly, but it can rear its ugly head when least expected, and yes one of the symptoms is certainly dizziness, there are as you know many others too, and of course panic being the sneaky predator it is, also introduces new ones that we are not familiar with, we get to know the others even though they are still scary, at least we can analize them and know what they are, so no you are not alone, and when you get that dizzziness try to sit somewhere, and practice breathing in and out slowly, in order to get your normal rhythm back, another good tactic is to distract yourself, I am sorry you have panic, only those of us who suffer no how intrusive they are in our lives. It is advisable too, to go to doctor and get checked, sometimes we blame panic for all our ills, perhaps its an imbalance due to ear problem. good luck x

I am used to getting dizzy, though not frequently. I got dizzy (not room swirling the other kind) while driving the other day. I reminded myself not to panic but to take deep breaths so the air can circulate to my brain.

Yes I had one the other day. It's a horrible feeling, which of course makes matters worse. Hope you feel better.

Yep all the time. I don't know if mine is dizziness but like a zap of lightheadedness and fogginess that sets of panic. It's so exhausting
