ESBL Superbug

Has anyone had this infection when they have had a urine test done. Had pain in my right side and right side of my belly and running to the toilet every few minuets. My doctor has given me some antibiotics for a week. Most antibiotics don't work I'm worried sick it's making my anxiety go through the roof. X

I am not going to say don't worry because I have HA & I would be feeling just the same & I would worry to but what I would want is someone that isn't worried to say what I am going to say because they would be looking at it from a different pair of eyes the sensible one's when we are not anxious over something which we all have & that is I believe that if the GP was really worried they would have not just said here is a week's worth of antibiotics of you go they would have done more if they thought you were at any risk but they haven't so they must be confident you are in no danger & they are the experts

I am allergic to so many antibiotics so it can be very difficult when I need to take them & it is just one that I am ok with but sometimes that one has not done what it needs to so my GP has kept trying others & eventually we find one that works

I am sure these will work but try & say if they don't it will be fine because they will try another till they get the one that does , but I think you will be fine

Hi why why

Your a star that is the advice my husband and family have said no way would the doctor have given me prescription he would have sent me to hospital. The drug he has given me is Nitrofurantoin which is one of the 2 that works. I did the wrong thing when nurse rang me I asked what strain of bacteria was there so I googled it. Wrong I know. Thank you for your advice I have an appointment tomorrow night to see my doctor just for peace of mind. Take care xxx

Oh dear not the dreaded goggle

When my doctor once asked me where I got one of my bright ideas of what was arong with me even though she had told me but I went away & looked it up I told her goggle

She gave me two replies , one that goggle did not have my medical history but she did & secondly was I going to have goggle as my GP or her , well that told me & it did make sense so I couldn't argue with her

I hope you get peace of mind after your appointment , I am sure you will
