I had a lay in this morning. I usually wake up early and just get up. Anyway I was thinking about how I create stress and anxiety out of thin air. Example: I have been giving a female work mate a ride home after our shifts and she has been asking if I was single etc..So this morning I started to make a scenario up in my head about what if her and I started a relationship... And I got anxious... as I am not ready to take on a relationship of that nature ... So there I was making myself anxious for no reason. Then I looked back at all the other times I have done the same thing. Creating scenarios that were never going to come to life ...but I was living the anxiety in real time.
I realized that I have done this most of my life i making up situations and creating stress out of thin air...Just wanted to share that with you in case some of you have the same problem... steve

HI Steve x Oh a lie in , I do like it when they happen although in the down side they can give time for your thoughts to well over think. Stress and anxiety can easily be created in the way we decide to handle a situation, if we are laid back about it and say sod it, then its easy to let it slide, if we pay attention to it and run with it then we are in for a day of anxiety x It seems you are worried about the potential of this person wanting a relationship with you, and you admit that you are not ready, but as you say its so easy to assume things that are not there x It could be conversation starters or it could well be this person is interested but remember every good relationship starts on a friendship basis x It could be that you become very good friends and this will be great for you, so I would say relax and see where life takes you, don't plan don't think just go with the flow. I can create problems out of no where to x Its easy, a friend walks past and ignores you, or so you assume and you fret and worry and feel gutted that they have blanked you, so you get the courage and ask, and the reply, oh im sorry I did not see you, i was so preoccupied with stuff xx Easily done see xx Donver xx
Sorry to hear that. I have a hope that this will pass soon and I can get back into life more.. I was ok 5 months ago ..Under a lot of stress but much more active and social. I remember you saying your job was your anchor. take care steve
