I know I was dreaming when it happened. It is just so scary I hate to go back to sleep. Can you have panic attacks in your sleep?

Hi again I have answered your other post to x it is possible to panic in your sleep and then be woken yes x it can be scary and u will feel as if u don't want to sleep again, but remind yourself it is all ok, nothing bad will happen, panic my come but it will go again, the more you get used to the feelings the easier they become to live with. Xx donver

The brain, or in the dream state, our subconscious can produce images and feelings that are very real.. In the sense that our emotions are reacting to the images it is creating.. All the emotions are filtered through the brain and the mosh pit of chemicals involved. We may even feel the physical trauma that are occurring in the dream state.The sense of flying or falling for example.. Steve

Yes very possible I would wake up heart going crazy sweating and sometimes very emotional I asked my doc and she had said people sometimes that's how the panic/ anxiety attacks start being in your sleep, must be a cycle though if you think about it.

Anxiety in some is caused by lack of sleep and when this happens you're afraid to sleep because you don't want to feel the horrible effects of the anxiety/panic attack
