Hi Pink.

I am a retired chef but I still do all the cooking at home so my wife has a meal to come home to.

I am volunteering at New Theatre Cardiff. It's a fun but at times hard job, with the great British public who can push it too far! Full Monty next week so that will be good :)

I gave up work a year ago due to my health problems and like you my anxiety came on, having the time to think and dwell is not good. Wondered how you cope with it. I can't seem to motivate myself at all.

Hope you've had a good day. X

I'm kind of retired and have heart trouble and anxiety but I was a legal accounts manager for 25 years. ...boring! !!

I'm not exactly a pensioner yet so I may look for part time work but I'd need to feel better.

Hope everyone has had a good day and will have a good night. X

I was a pilot of the motorways!

I drove a truck for my living, until DVLA and a consultant said I couldn't anymore and all my vocational licences were taken from me.

Did I get any help suddenly becoming unable to work due to a health condition, I'll leave that one to your imagination.

Then the stress, anxiety, anger and depression kicked in.

jasper, retired when I was 53 to care for my wife, before that worked for a large electrical firm as an inspector helping them to keep their government licenses.

I think I have the best job in the world, I'm now a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, but it took me a while to realise what I wanted to be. I have been a professional bass player, actor (some say I still am), Parts Sales Co-ordinator, Telesales Executive, problem drinker (I think that's the new term, and that really is a full time job), volunteer counsellor, Customer Relations Executive for the CEO of an Insurance Company (the most stressful job I've ever had) and a Support Worker for adults with learning disabilities (a great job).

Not what you're looking for?
