If so could you givr me some feedback please?

Also helloooo! Had another couple of months off here, hope we are all ok.

I am on a waiting list for cbt so hopefully when this starts and that with the tablets will help me to begin to get better.

I take sertraline and have done for about 5 years now. I take quite a high dose - 150 mg a day. I haven't found any major issues with it or suffered any side effects. The only thing is if I forget to take it one day I feel bit dizzy and spaced out. I recommend it but not everything suits everybody so if you do have problems tell your doctor.

My doctor prescribed it today its only 50mg but i guess its a start.. I didn't want so depend on them tho so i hope i don't get dizzy and spaced out if i don't take one but i guess thats because of your dosage, its very high. How was you before you were on them if you dont mind me asking? Were they for panic attacks and anixety?

No for depression. Had to increase my dose from 100 mg before they really kicked in. I find them really good. My symptoms are generally under control now and I can function again. Before taking them I was very depressed and finding it hard to cope. They help with my anxiety also.

Oh its no good only taking them now and again. You need to take them every day to start to feel the benefits otherwise there is no point. A lot of the working is in the accumulation in your system over time.

I didn't want to have to take them 24-7 if you get what I mean, i do understand they are not going to work straight away

I'm not depressed so this shall be fun lol

Hi BeutifulxWreck and welcome back.

I went over to sertraline at the beginning of the year and to be honest for the first month it was like living without meds again.

However the side effects all started to go after 3-4 weeks and have now all gone and although due to other problems I am anxious they have definitely worked.

What side effects did you get?

Morning,

Had a lot going on at the time, but difficulty sleeping, neck and shoulder pains, really weird dreams and started to feel uncommunicative as if depression was back with a vengeance.

All started to subside 3-4 weeks after I started taking them but I had been on escitalopram for 5 years before.

Hope this helps.

Hello :)

I was on Sertraline for just under a month and unfortunately they made me sleep badly, I got the jitters for a couple of weeks and I started to grind my teeth! Although I have to say they helped my mood significantly :)

I just thought I'd let you know because if you do have any problems with Sertraline, they're not your only option :) I'm now on Citalopram - my GP said they're in the same drug group, they have very similar positive effects but no nasty side effects :)

The only thing I'm worried about is the side effects :(

I would like to thank you all for your replies it's much appreciated.

Fingers crossed they help my panic attacks!

I'm just worried about the side effects but I'm like that with any tablets I have to take, at the beginning of the year I was given these and I put myself off by reading the side effects, luckily I can't remember them now. Need to stop thinking about negative things ring positive and take them if I can't help myself no one else can n all that! Fingers crossed :)

Hi.BeautifulxWreck. I have been on Sertraline fo months now with no bad effects. They do help. As for cbt I have major depression issues. I am under MIND for it.They run a Mindfulness living course of 8 weeks they put me in. It has helped to round off the corners of the darkness. Good luck. Anything is going to be better than trying to cope by yourself. CHECK what time of day you have to take them. My doc said EARLY AM.

Yes I am. Seems to work amazing. But the trick is the right dose. When they increased it on me it got worse. Also when starting out you will have increased anxiety but after the hump youll feel great. Also no side effects really
