Hi, Ive been trying to solve this myself.I've spent hundreds testing everything from herbal teas to Acupuncture. I got great relief from a good Osteopath, who did all the 'cracking' of the joints etc.But I didn't realise just how interlinked our thoughts, mood, and body are, i.e a problem with any of them individually will effect the rest. It's important to know that. With anxiety, the only certain response I received was from Diazepam.I'd also tried SSRI's. But I realised although diazepam was effective, in no time I was dependant and eventually stopped after several years. After being diagnosed with PTSD, I went on a course with Combat Stress.I learnt a lot about anxiety and now I stand by a few principles to lessen/prevent anxiety. These include stopping any stimulants, caffeine is a big one that triggers panic attacks and anxiety. Also moderation of alcohol.Although the good mood I get at the time, the massive anxiety the next day makes its worth questionable.I will never quit, but am aware now and know when to stop. I have experimented with St John Wort from Boots and Rhodiola Rosea, which I believe are both effective.Exercise definitely helps.I love a long slow swim followed by sauna. Finally I have learnt that Id spent years seeking short term fixes like diazepam, but to truly get a grip of anxiety, I'd need to change my lifestyle, this is where Mindfulness comes in.Have a look on internet...PLEASE!!also Tai Chi is good.....Ok take care and make a change for the better.Chris

Hi there, I'm a big believer in mindfulness. There is a very good site called "Head Space" which is worth a look also check out calm.com I've tried Kalms as a stop gap but at the end of the day it's training your mind set which is hard at the best of times! It's also good to get out and do some exercise. Hope that helps, good luck:) xx
