Ab

Im on clarithromycin for a throat inf ,but it's starting to upset my stomach and make my pulse race,I have hiatus hernia and reflux,iv took some gaviscon and it's seems to be settling,anyone else out ther have similar probs to ths?

Thats an antibiotic you are taking

I no one of the side effects & I get this is an upset stomach from antibiotics & if you suffer with acid it can make it worse

It could settle down though & once you have taken the course everything does go back to normal , I tend to put up with it knowing it will be only while I have to take them

The pulsing do you feel it could be your anxiety , do you get anxious having to take meds , because I do & can get feelings & think its the meds when really its my anxiety

If you are really not happy on them & the site effects are bad then there are different antibiotics you can take that might suite you better & I would go back & tell my GP & they should try you on something else

It's happened before on a similar drug,this is the 2nd ab iv had in 2wks,I hate this time of yr allways go down with something every yr

I no , not to good myself with this flu bug but see if you can stick with them , because they will clear the infection up & then you will feel better
