My doctor recently put me on this medication for anxiety as well as depression. Has anyone else had this and if so, please tell me what your experience was like.

Sertraline 50mg
Hi there I have recently switched to Sertraline from Citalopram. I am on 50mg too have been for approx 8 weeks now. I have been loving it so far. I have had good calm moods with a lot off happiness which us unlike me in January. I imagined switching tablets would be really hard and it wasn't too bad. Why are you experiencing negative symptoms?
Hi I've been on sertraline for almost 3 months starting at 50mg and now 100mg. It does take a while before you start to feel any better. I think everyone will have a different experience with any meds but for me it does help along with therapy. Good luck and take care x
Thankyou, means a lot, same to you x
My son who is 38 yrs old has been on Sertraline for nearly 5 years now. He has recently been assessed by a pyschiastrist and is also on Depakote. If my son does not take his medication regularly he experiences acute anxiety and has to take two tablets. It is safe and has not caused my son any side effects,. Hope this helps 😊
I took it for 8 weeks. It helped some, I did have a little trouble with orgasm. I was on 50 and probably should have increased it, but I was afraid it would affect my sex life even more. I should have stayed on it, I have been med free for a year and have been struggling with stress symptoms. My wife is an emergency room nurse and when her dad came down with a mysterious illness where he almost died, she started taking it and it has helped her quite a bit. She was on it 10 years ago for a couple of months after she had a miscarriage and came off of it no problem. This time she has been on it for a couple of years and is so happy on it , has no intentions of coming off. She has no libido on it, but she always had somewhat of a problem, maybe if I looked like brad pitt, it would be different, lol
