hi does anyone suffer with sore throat and chest with anxiety

Hi dennis

There is every good chance anxiety can give you sore throats & feelings like you have a bad chest , I get both , but when ever i go to the GP , there is nothing wrong with me

If you havnt been , I would go & get checked out & if they say everything is fine , which no doubt it will be , you can say that these symptoms are no doubt your anxiety

im on 20mg citalopram could that be a side effect

I am not a doctor , but it could be a possibility

Did you not have these symptoms before you were on the meds ?

I would see your GP & mention it , they can look at your throat & chest , give you the all clear & at the same time discuss if your meds can cause this problem

Yes,I have a sore throat on and off all the time,ever since my anxiety came on 3 and a half years ago.Been to Dr's and got checked out-nothing wrong with me.

Anxiety causes it. Think I swallow too hard when am nervous and "Bob's your Uncle"

For peace of mind-go get checked out. One less worry then. Xx
