Hi everyone can't sleep AGAIN still getting chest pains & discomfort in rh leg & arm. I got the all clear from my lung x ray & heart monitor so it looks like my diagnosis will be stress & anxiety. I've got to see my doctor on Monday for diagnosis. I'm not surprised realy after the worst 15 months of my life you guy's were right I've blown a fuse. Does anyone else get chest discomfort everyday at some point ? It's realy freaking me out & makes me more stressed & panicky.
Still getting chest discomfort/panic attac... - Anxiety Support
Still getting chest discomfort/panic attacks/sleepless nights.
Hello I used to get alot of pains wen I was at my worst. I still get abit of pains in my chest legs and arms from time to time. I know it's easyer said then done but try not to panic and keep telling ur self it's anxiety and it can't hurt u. I'm still telling myself that at times now xxx
Hi cherub,
I often find myself with a 'tight' or 'heavy' feeling in my chest and it's really rather unpleasant - I'm pretty sure it's because of my anxiety because it only really happens when I'm stressed. I can identify when I feel anxious so it's always easy enough for me to identify the other symptoms. It sounds to me like you are 'feeding' your chest pain worse the worry that it could be something more serious, and it's making it worse, which further adds to your anxiety. Be reassured that you've had tests to rule out anything sinister, and know that it's just probably just anxiety. Take some time out, and breath deeply, slowly and steadily (remember for every breath you take to exhale the same amount, otherwise you will get a build of oxygen - which will leave you feel strange). Sometimes it's better to do it lying down. So you can see your tummy rise and really you're doing the technique properly.
Hope this helps. If you remain anxious, it might be good to revisit your doctor and see what treatments he or she can offer for for anxiety problems. Remember anxiety can develop for a whole number of reasons and it's about getting to the bottom of it and breaking it down in order to beat it. You will get there, I'm sure you will.
Keep posting.
Take care and kindest regards,
