Try talking to yr chiropractor re reduced rates, myn do half price for regulars that cant afford full treatment, I suffer exactly the same as you, however I have been going regularly for 10 yrs now & actually it doesn't help any more good luck. Some chiropractors do acupuncture too. There are also other massage therapies which are awesome, I go to a lady & get an hour's full massage for about £40 which is much cheaper & more effective than the 15 minute chiro appointment. good luck.
Hi
Massage or Pilates are both good options and probably cheaper. I do Pilates as I suffer with my lower back and shoulder due to anxiety and its sorted me out. Lots of my work colleagues swear by Pilates for back pain(both male and female). There's DVD and the area I work do sessions at local community centres which are affordable.
Have you tried an osteopath instead?? They're more about making sure everything is in alignment without any painful jerking etc! I absolutely swear by mine, I've been going for a few years, every three months to get put back in place, and every so often when I need it, About £40 a session but well worth every penny as they look to solve the issue, not just ease the symptoms - good luck!
Try a hot water bottle on your neck area, if this makes it worse try an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel for 20 minutes, not moving it about as its done, then gradually allow it to warm up before doing anything strenuous.
If the pains really bad I do this every 2 hrs.
Hope it helps
