new to anxiety meds

I havnt truly taken anxiety medicine for YEARS, I’m on my 5th day and my mind is quiet it’s so nice but I also feel like a walking zombie? Very low motivation and tired. Is this normal? Will it pass?😭

Depending what the medication is, it can be very normal.

Littlelarkspur, Buspar is an antianxiety medication. I have not been

on it myself. Your doctor or pharmacist is the best person to ask.

It seems like it has quieted your mind. As for the other feelings and

sensations, it is best to give your doctor a call to alleviate your concerns.

Buspar is a very common drug that is used for anxiety. My best to you xx

I was on Buspar years ago and it really helped, and have been back on it for about a year and it's helping again. It's not a fast acting drug like the Benzos are(Ativan, Xanax, etc). It takes time(weeks)to reach full efficacy. I had no problem with side effects the first time around, but being much older now it affected me differently. Once side effects wore off it was fine. I was on both Ativan and Buspar but was able to stop the Ativan.

You're welcome! Definitely a winner!! I would love at some point to be off the Buspar, but right now I need it.
