Hi, I am new to the group. I have had anxiety most of my life. Just so tired of constantly thinking "What If" mostly, but not limited to health related anxiety always fearing the worst and feelings of impending doom. Looking to see how others handle their anxiety and tips for a better life.

Anxiety, new to group
First off welcome to the site & my what a beautiful lady you are! I've been dealing with anxiety/depression for 29 years. I have learned how to cope with it for the most part. Thinking positive thoughts breeds more positive thoughts, we have to learn to let go of negative thoughts, I know can be a real challenge some days! Do you do slow breathing, in through your nose out through your mouth? I'm here for you you! Love, light, peace, joy & hugs!!!
OOPS! too many you's, hahaha....sorry!
Welcome and same here with health anxiety and all. The best thing I found is finding a hobby and get lost in it or stay busy. The less time you have to sit and think the better. Our minds can be our biggest struggle most of the time.
Hello Pretty lady, So sorry you are going thru this (hell I call it), as Brian says if you can find a hobby you like that is a good outlet. Keep busy if you can. My anxiety is so bad my Dr. has me on Gabapentin, I suggest you talk to your Dr. and see what help is available, I know quite a few people who take this drug, it is safe and not addictive. Hope this is of help. Come talk to us we will help if we can. Sending Love & Hugs. Sprinkle 1.... xx oo
You have much time to make a better life for you by improving it for others. Get involved! Go help others thru volunteering and saving them from making bad choices. The best teacher is experience so you can teach others. These are the things I found that helped me a lot! I take Vitamin B complex for energy every morning! Get a good brand. I love Nature's Sunshine. I also in evening take magnesium and ginseng. They calm the mind body and spirit and get rid of those sticky negative thoughts that loop around and keep us in regret rather than change. Magnesium malate is the best type, citrate is good too but too much will make you GO! =) tmi? =D It's really important to laugh too! Watch funny shows, and funny videos online. Laughter does heal. Blessings to you, here's to a new future!
Berry, I understand. My stomach is always in a knot, my shoulders hunched up. Waves of nausea, nervousness and doom wash over me and I have to lay down, deep breathe, tell myself I’m not dying. It’s horrible. I’m on Lexapro and herbal remedies, which help but do not cure. Trying CBT and meditation next. The thought of living like this forever is daunting. But we’re all in this together and that’s comforting! Will let you know what coping mechanisms work for me. Take care and stay in touch!
