I have dealt with anxiety and panic all my life! I am 51. I took lexapro for 2 years and was doing great. The lexapro was like a miracle wonder drug. I decided I wanted to up my dose to really knock out the anxiety. I found a doctor who did a gensight test and it was determined that lexapro is a 4 while prozac is a 1.... No one gave me a good explanation of what that even means. Impulsivly I agreed to wean off lexapro and start prozac... but now I am having trouble sleeping... i jump awake in a panic multiple times in the night. I am having lots of anxiety. My doctor said to STOP the prozac. and just continue with my low dose of lexapro. I am so turned around and just confused now. The doctor said it will take about 2 weeks for the prozac to leave my body and for me to feel normal again. I just need some hope! Will I get back to normal? I am having so much anxiety now.

You can go to the Genesight website and get info on how to interpret your results. On my test results, anything in the green "Use as Directed" area was good for me. Another way is to google "understanding my genesight test results".
I would keep your doctor up to date on how you’re feeling
