What has happened to life; ruled by numbers, Computer Graphic Images, fit into square boxes, give RIGHT numbers, you did not give right pin number ..... start again, where has the personal touch, personal identities, a touch of dyslexia, which I have 'developed' due to this state of affairs, everyone is behind a plastic screen, swishing on screens [no wonder carpel tunnel syndrome numbers have gone up?] Where do you go on holiday, somewhere in the sun with all the people are swishing their screens, ever see national disasters? survivors in the middle of any disaster in the world swishing their 'screens' getting pictures, when I joined HU 10 years ago I said I would like to go to a desert island where I could live by myself on my own, you could not do that now, aircraft flying over, drones, might get a place bad internet reception and of course the inevitable piece of plastic floating somewhere near by🙄
Do you ever feel that life is ruled b... - Anxiety and Depre...
Do you ever feel that life is ruled by technological numbers; pin numbers, pass, security, private pin, upgrade, new pin, give me care home!

I'm 50 and don't like the new way of things. People on their phone and not knowing neighbors or talking folks but texting them. Ugh I understand what your saying.
I have just moved to a "Penthouse flat" on the second story, just over a month there, and have learnt that, forget about Amazon and Ebay, the rigmaroles, the days spent inside, WAITING....., I'm retired and live on my own, the codes and extra 'pin numbers' just to "wait" for the 'parcels' I'll get a taxi to the nearest superstore complex, maybe not as good value, but time saved, and no stupid idiots emailing or 'trying' to understand their codes, pin numbers, and practices 😖🙄
The only solution to not living on the digital hi way is one great big EMP blast pulse to the internet. Then you would see millions of people running around pushing buttons and staring at a black mirror that used to be their cell phone screen. People would actually have to think for themselves. Use paper and pencil, and read those things they called books.
Hello out there humans!
Maybe they can tie a stick to their dead phones and dig a veggie garden with it......haaaaa.
How about turning off their electric phones etc, for a month, for charity, on second thoughts who would clean their toilets, maybe use their effluence for compost? Wots buks 🙄
Talking about compost, trying to clean my brown tongue off; google, amazon, ebay, AI overview, microsoft edge, the lists go on🙄
A sign of things to come? because of "technology" will probably have to give up book, due to technological shortcomings, which I cannot understand, I am on a different level, if I do not reach their "level" they baffle me with more apps. numbers, upgrading, bring back pen and paper and ordinary face to face conversations
when is all gets to be too much.....use the 'Off' button and do something fun, bake, take a walk color a picture.....tech is what it is....it's a tool or the devil.... it's all how you choose to use it. But knowing is the key.
The last several days I have found myself looking forward to getting up and seeing a hummingbird outside my window who has built a tiny nest on top of a windchime. I think I am feeling happy for the first time in AGES. Maybe I've just completely lost my mind. Whichever, it's nice. I prefer to use the phone to watch free old movies on YouTube. Best Wishes from California. My dad's people came from Donegal.
My sister was telling for the first time in five she saw a robin in her garden, very jealous, my previous house about ten years ago I used to see a robin in my garden, I called "Basil", then a red sparrow hawk came along, birdless for years. I won't be seeing any birds where I am now a second story flat, adjacent to a main road 🙄 I had a sister who lived in Donegal, every time I went over there it was ALWAYS raining🌧🌧 Now I've moved I can go out now for a walk🚶♂️👌
What a lovely sight you have to wake up to.! Glad you are feeling better!😊
Not really I have a city hospital, local primary health centre, a care home, and next door to the city cemetery🤭🤭BUT before I could not walk more than 100 yards from my previous house, now due to the near vicinity of the centre of the city, and easy reach of many transport links, ALL on a level plain, which I CERTAINLY was not previously, I have a broken skull, [due to two epileptic seizures] which seriously affects my main balance issues, I am in effect terminally ill combined with other medical conditions, but I can go out for a simple local walk👍
