Hello I have felt down for a while and begged my GP for antidepressants to take with my Mitazipine which helps me sleep , last week he still refused so said up to 30mg , I take 15 mg after 2 days I felt like a balloon that couldn’t pop , anxiety through roof , couldn’t eat, think , bad thoughts , Dr told me to up to 45 , then prescribed Quitiapine , have had a week of sheer hell , phoning crisis team etc just sheer mania , this happened over 7 days ! I then saw another Dr who said stop the Quetiapine only took 2 thank god , and Mitazipine cold turkey (been on for 4years!) so had no Mitazipine for 2 days and ended up in AnE yesterday suicidal, I came home and did took mitazipine last night as Emergency Dr said not to go cold turkey, have started venoflaxin 35mg 3 days ago but it’s like a nightmare this week , all I tried to do was get some help , woke up in a anxiety attack but now back on normal Metazipine, and the venoflaxin, I just pray the nightmare week is over , my body can’t take anymore, I think it was massive reaction to excess mitazipine !! Praying for a good day , thank you for reading x

This is horrible!! There aren't too many meds that we should stop cold turkey. I can't even think of one to be honest. Your doctor made a poor decision and I'm sorry you had to suffer like that.

I went through a couple years of med changes to find the right meds for me and it was hell going off and on things.

Sounds like withdrawal? Four years of something in your system and then it's gone. That's a big hit to the system.

I'm so glad you went for help and I'm glad things didn't escalate any further

It's going to take a bit to adjust to the changes. Rest and drink fluids

Keep us posted

❤️🐬

Thank you going to stay on it and reduce carefully, only took extra 4 days so praying I will pick up soon can’t go on like this , taken venoflaxin for 3 days but think it’s the wrong thing to do , very jittery , electric shocks in arms and can’t eat , …,,, praying it will end was literally only 4 days extra was fine before I messed it up
