Yes, the struggle is real. I developed health anxiety a couple years ago, suddenly. It makes me SO fearful, I just want to hide. I don't want to be around anyone half the time yet I am so lonely from being withdrawn. I struggle to enjoy my own family at this point, it's awful. It's so frustrating, I am so irritable and anxious all the time. I feel terrible and feel bad for my family. I'm not the same person i once was. I haven't found any great coping methods yet. I've tried medication that only made me feel worse. Currently in conseling and reading self help books and podcasts and joined this group a couple weeks ago. When the anxiety really plagues me in the moment I start rocking. Just cross my arms put my head down with my arms wrapped across my body like a hug, usually with my eyes closed and try not to burst out in tears at this point. I'd love to follow and hear any comments and suggestions with people who feel the same

I struggle with anxiety all the time. It's honestly from a lack of self-esteem. I've been through months of therapy to work that out. I tried every coping mechanism they suggested and nothing worked. No meds worked long term. I realized no one can help me but myself. Right now I'm going through a phase where I'm doing what I can to improve my self esteem. Finding what makes me feel better about myself and doing those things more often. Myself I just like helping people, whether its family or friends, or just donating to a charity. I wish I had time to volunteer for something, but I work all the time. Otherwise, I try to keep focused on myself and whatever my mind is telling me I need to feel fulfilled and enjoy life. I hope that helps

I have depression and anxiety. And now grief. I guess any and all 3 can increase irritability. I was reading where you can burn a anger superhighway through your brain so you get to angry much faster. Plus it bypasses the front of your brain that controls the rationale reactions. I can get so angry, especially about politics, and i just loose it. I hate it. It is s horrible feeling. Wish i had a magic wand...

Thanks for your post. Yes, all the time. One thing that helps me is separating the feeling from the action/behavior. For example, for a while I had a fear of driving. When I got in the car, my thoughts would be “something bad will happen”. But I also knew if I avoided driving forever, I would never overcome this fear. Social situations very similar. Another helpful thing for me - imperfection is good enough sometimes. I get anxious at social events, and I sometimes get anxious while driving. It doesn’t stop me from doing either. But I often would love to avoid both. Identifying these patterns has really helped me know when I need to “face fears”. I can be anxious at a social event and still attend. I can get anxious in the car and survive. It takes a long time to work on, and frankly, I’m still not there, and honestly, some days I’m really sick of working on this stuff. But the journey can be such a beautiful, empowering thing. Best of luck on yours.

your welcome i like to try to post something different everyone can relate too because anxiety comes in so many ways and symptoms and can make you feel so alone so i just kind of like people to see that others go through the things they face as well while dealing with anxiety. You are handling it like a champ that’s exactly what i try to do face the things that makes me anxious and not pay it to much attention or let it make so uncomfortable i leave and after a while the anxiety subsides and i feel better i’m so glad you have found ways to manage yours as well keep going you got this 🤗💕it will only get better 🥰

Thank you so much. Many days I don’t feel like a champ! But important to stay on the path. Have a great day.
