For Anyone Who Journals or Reads

ButterflyWhisperer profile image

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. 😊

For much of my life, I carried the quiet weight of anxiety and depression, which crept in slowly and became a constant presence. As a young mother juggling work and family, I silently struggled, believing I had to hold it all together while falling apart inside.

I found peace in books and in journaling. My healing is ongoing, but I’ve learned to ask for help, concentrate on happy thoughts, and find ways to cope with my mental health challenges.

I have been an avid reader and journaler for most of my life. I find it's a great way to clear my mind and release anxiety and unwanted thoughts.

Over the years I've found some great free resources that I'm happy to share with anyone who is interested. Whether you've been a journaler/reader your entire life or you're looking for a place to start, I'm happy to make any recommendations I can.

Feel free to message me if you're interested! I get quite lonely at times, so I could always use the conversation. ❤️

I love reading, but don't journal. However, when I was being helped by a psychiatrist, he got me to keep a diary of what I ate, felt at the time, etc, and another diary of any thoughts or memories I had. That definitely worked! It's just that I seemed to spend the whole day writing, and not getting on with anything else.

hi , usually people in the group share info publicly. Any reason you particularly want private requests 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hello! I'm an avid reader and writer. I don't journal as much as I used to because while journaling is helpful at the time, when I go back and read my old journals, they're so depressing! Sometimes I think we should go back to the diary, to record what you did that day rather than writing about the dark feelings.
