Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me understand how to distinguish between reality and what is not.
I’ve had some experiences where I see things, and when I look again, they appear different. I know this is a hallucination because I confirm that it wasn't really there and it didnt last for long-time.
Now, I’ve had an experience in my life that has lasted for years—it's the same people, the same situation, same reason. People around me keep telling me that it’s an illusion. I cannot agree with them because it is consistent not changing. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Well I'll be honest, I don't have schizophrenia. But.. I do know the feeling of seeing something, then seeing it be different when I look back. The people telling you that it's an illusion while they are technically right, they're also being a bit ignorant about how your hallucinations work. I'm sorry you have to go through this, but you don't have to deal with it alone. You have my word and heart and I will help you get through this. Stay safe. 👍🏼❤️
