I've been dealing with anxiety practically my whole life, since I did not have a good childhood. I was always on guard as to "when is it going to happen again"? I was also diagnosed with another mental illness, but I'm taking my medications 'religiously' for I want to be mentally healthy as best as I can. But, as I'm getting older, I seem to be getting more anxious. I also have fears of uncertainties. I know I'm not the only one, so that's why I joined the group to see if I can connect with people who are struggling as well, but that also have ideas of how they are dealing with there anxieties effectively...🙏🏼

Suggestions for Severe Anxiety/Panic?
Hi BellaCaribePR Welcome dear to a safe and caring community. xx
I'm new here and thought I'd comment. I'm also on the same boat with your symptoms. I've just started Zoloft (Sertraline) 50mg per day that I received from my primary physician, see a clinical psychologist once a week for 1 hour (talk-therapy, CBT), and do yoga at least once per week. It's certainly helping with my sleep schedule and reducing insomnia. Perhaps in a few months I'll be able to reduce and control my panic attacks and severe anxiety. Add in walking or cycling for 20-30 minutes per day and a nutritious diet should also help too. Consistency with the exercise, stretching, and proper dieting are key.
You have to commit to being healthy and wanting to change despite your age. Stay persistent, resilient, and accept that you will feel better if you put in the effort. It may take awhile, but wouldn't it feel great to reach a goal that was thought to be unattainable.
