i’m on vacation and having terrible anxieties. Don’t know why I’ve been on Lexapro for almost 5 weeks. I know it takes time. Just need to talk to somebody. That’s going through the same thing as me.

Hi,

I have taken Lexapro for many years. You do not mention how much you are taking. For me, I found that the 20 mg dose works the best for my anxiety. Lexapro also worked for my dad and it works for my son. My dad and son both take 10 mg.

It may have to do with what time of day you are taking it also? Do you take it in the morning or night? I take mine in the morning and I find that works best for me. My dad had to take it at night.

I take 20 mg its worse in the morning and afternoon. Then by 4:00 I’m calmer and have energy

and told by my doctor that Lexapro takes about two months for full effect. I sure hope so. I don’t know how much more I can take these anxieties every day all day.

I understand. My anxiety is always much worse in the morning. I think by the evening and night I am so exhausted from being anxious that I am calmer.
