Hello and Welcome. Have you ever tried a body scan meditation? It helps you focus on parts of your body and get out of your head and away from your thoughts. It gives you something else to focus on.
There is also writing your thoughts about today and plans for tomorrow down in a book. The idea is when closing the book you are sending a message to your 🧠 brain that everything has been taken care of and sleep 😴 should follow.

Hi Puppy lady,
Welcome to our forum. I'd have that problem too, if I didn't come up with a solution that usually helps. I use time-release melatonin to keep me under when I manage to fall asleep. And I always have an audiobook by my bedside to occupy my mind. I'll be listening to one of Agatha Christie's books tonight.
Just don't try anything too exciting, or frightening either.
Do you like children's books? Flora and Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures is terrific, and the reader, Tara Sands is special.
Or if you like Sherlock Holmes, the guy that does the readings in the link below is great too. They're free.
Hi that's what I use to go through until I got on medication for sleep. Noone knows what you are going through unless they have lived it.
