increasing Sertraline

hi, I’ve recently increased Sertraline from 50mg to 100mg, today is day 12 and I feel really unwell. Really foggy headed exhausted hightened anxiety and nausea. Just wondering if anyone has had similar and come out the other side? Feeling really fed up with feeling unwell 😢

This happened to me last year. I had been on Sertraline for 7 and a half years, and when my doctor increased my dose from 100 to 150, it was like my world was turned upside down. Racing thoughts, foggy head, increased anxiety, inability to concentrate. We switched my medication to Paxil, and things got much better. I was basically back to where I'd been before increasing my Sertraline, but I was just glad to be able to think straight. I would talk to your doctor about the way you are feeling and see what they recommend. Best of luck.

thank you, I don’t know whether to give it more time on this dose as it’s only been 12 days x

If I were you, I would at least tell my doctor how I'm feeling and express concerns about your side effects. Then they can help you decide from there.

I have recently increased my sertraline so I know how you feel it lasts about couple of weeks but does come and go randomly x have you told your GP?

absolutely! I have a “ hangover “ feeling. Plus… and it may not be related but a strange thing starting happening when my dose got increased. I now have the most bizarre dreams ever and wake myself up having full on conversations or wake myself up laughing ! Haha

I did actually ! Lot less anxiety etc
