hi. Does anyone have any experience with Remeron/mirtazapine? I can’t tell if it’s all anxiety or side effects from it. I was on 7.5 and my anxiety went away and I felt great. I had a trigger and I went downhill. My dr put me on 15 mg and it’s been two weeks with no improvement. I might even be getting worse. I feel sick: a little dizzy at times. I’m so overwhelmed with anxiety I’m crying sometimes. Please send encouragement

hey, sorry your feeling so bad, I’m on 30mg of mitrazapine and my anxiety is under control, I think it takes a few weeks for the tablets to work to be honest, so give it time and if no improvement go back to your GP. Wishing you well

I have been taking mirtazipine for about 8 years now. I take 7.5 and use it before I go to bed. It has helped me with anxiety during the night. I used to wake up in a panic during the night and don't any longer. I couple the mirtazipine with 50 mg of Zoloft that I take in the morning. I'm a pretty light touch when it comes to drugs. I think the combination of the two keep me steady. I did try going off the Zoloft a couple of years ago and that triggered and months long high anxiety phase. It was horrible. I'm not going to try that again.

What time of day do you take the mirtazipine? If it's during the day, that might be why you feel dizzy. Talk with your doc. I hope you get it figured out soon. Anxiety sucks.

I take it at night before bed. We have talked about pairing it with Paxil

I have been taking 30mg of mirtazapine for a number of years, it can make some people dizzy, tired, which is why I only take it before bed. Maybe a bit more time, some of these meds take a long time to help. If not tell your Doctor its not helping and you need to try something else. Hope you feel better

I just found this site and read your post. I hope you have had improvement and are feeling better. You are strong and can do this. I’m taking mirtazapine 15 and want to wean off. It hasn’t been bad, but I do feel too foggy all of the time. Praying for peace and health for both of us.

hi. Thanks for writing! I successfully weaned off.

At the end I was literally swallowing flakes of it for a week or two before I stopped to avoid withdrawals. I felt like I had a few nights of terrible sleep, some worsening anxiety and then I leveled out again.
