I need help sleeping and also loosing weight. Remeron is good for anxiety I’m told but also weight gain. Not sure but I’m thinking I’ll try and if it doesn’t work for sleep and is causing weight gain I hear it’s easy to get off of.
Anyone have any experience with Remeron?

Thanks! Ugh I know that feeling. I’m on Paxil and have gained. I care but I guess I’m happier on it plus recently having decrease in appetite and my doc thinks I will be okay on it... 🤞
I am so-so. Very isolated. Also thinking about the holidays. My mom and I are on the outs, because she doesn't wrangle her husband in from being rude and just starting trouble. We talk, but it is definitely strained. It is not like she is young and we have all the time in the world. I always give in. It is a double-edged sword. Be the bigger person and have time with my mom or give in and enable the bad behavior. Thanks for asking.
I gained a great deal of weight because of Remeron. It seemed to help for a short while, then not anymore. Meanwhile, it dried out my skin, teeth, and eyes so badly I began to have problems with all of them. The doctor only says they can add on more drugs to make it work again.
So sorry. I don't want to bring down anyone. Maybe I can find mom & dad's resting spot and say goodbye. I miss my family.
Hi Starr light. I've just took myself off Mirtazapine as I was gaining so much weight. It really helped with my thoughts and anxiety both mental and physical. And helped me sleep. Unfortunately I have low self esteem so weight gain is no good for me. I've just been put on Sertraline I've researched this too and is not looking hopeful 😔 just have to give it a go. Hope you can find something that works for you
I hear ya! I’m on Paxil which has made me gain weight (and I’m so self-conscious as well) and mirtazapine made me feel like craaaaap anyway and didn’t help with sleep it just messed with me. I’m hoping sertraline works for you. Well I got good sleep last night so fingers crossed I’ll be ok. I’ll keep with melatonin and Benadryl.
Best to us!!!
If you don't mind me asking? What does Melatonin work for 😊
