So tired

Checking back in.

Its been awhile since i've posted on here. Im doing a lot better! But lately i've just been feeling so drained. It doesn't matter how long I sleep or how little I do Im always exhausted. It feels as if my muscles are physically fatigued. Its been like this slowly declining for a couple months now.

Ive been trying to do the right things, go on walks, try to switch up routine, say yes to things, eat healthier go to gym, but i'm still so tired. The things that used to give me joy give me less joy and the things that used motivate me now seem like an endless list of chores.

I feel myself slipping a little bit mentally and my normal stuff isn't working. Just looking for advice or to vent. How do you guys normally get out of a slump? What gets you out your head?

Hello. Have you spoken with a regular doctor about this? It's possible that what you're experiencing is symptomatic of a health issue, like thyroid or heart problems for instance. If it's been persistent for months, as you suggested, maybe eliminating possible physical health problems can help you narrow down what you're facing. Good luck.

I haven't yet but also I haven't been to the doctor in awhile. Maybe a good thing to bring up.

I am so sorry you feel this way, I feel like this so often.... it may even be my normal. It sucks.

I often find myself in this situation. Summertime is men's lacrosse league time, something I look forward to all year, and most years I end up depressed and feeling crappy with my eating disorder. For me I think it comes from perfectionism and I have to earn worth from doing things like eating right and going to the gym. They become chores and a burden rather than something that is energizing. I feel better when I do them and check them off the list, but that is not a sustainable way for me to live.

Is there something you can do or read about how you have worth no matter what? Do something out of the ordinary and take a day with a movie marathon or a reading marathon?

I always plug Dr David Burns and his book "Feeling Great" - if we can change the way we think we can change the way we feel

Hi. I've found that I go though patches of times like you describe. It seems to be something that happens to us all at times. Regarding your tiredness, have you tried a tonic? I use something called Floradix, which really helps. Best of luck - I hope things improve for you. xxx
