Is it a good idea

This fall, I'm going to be a student in a university abroad, and I'll be all alone there, without knowing anyone. And during my life, this was the main reason that I have had depression. So, I was wondering if I should take a small puppy, like a little bred dog, that I would have by myself and I would take a lot of care for. And in exchange of my care, I'll have the love of the dog. That way, if it's a small bred, it could travel with me on a plane. So, the problem is that I have to train the puppy to be very quiet. And to potty on special places in the bathroom when I am away for university, when I study. So, I don't know if it's a good idea, I would really love to, but I'm afraid that probably I won't be able to give the dog the care that it needs, or that it could be a problem for me visiting my parents on holidays. Even though airlines agree to have a small puppy in the cabin. But I really don't want to have depression again. And I'm sure that this little living thing will be perfect and I would love it and care for it a lot. On the other hand, I want to give the dog everything that it deserves. I don't want to make a mistake. So, please help me. Could it affect my personal life in university? I am all alone in this decision and I need your help

Hey, I will be moving in France and will study theater (arts du spectacle). I am still questioning myself if I can do it with the pet to be honest. In my country it is easier to find a dog and I would probably have 2 weeks to train it before moving, but I will have to decide by the middle of July

Well, I am not a cat person and I think the cat will destroy the apartment in the dormitory. The problem is that the dormitory asks for the pet to be quiet. I am also afraid it could affect my social life... But on the other hand, I am not even sure I will find people I would want to have a social life with...

A miracle can be "a change in perception". If you could change your anxiety into excitement it would be a miracle. I want for you to be proud of the steps you've taken that have enabled you to visit another country. Not everybody can do what you've done. Put the pet idea on hold for now. You have the opportunity to be anyone you want in your new surroundings. Who do you want to be? Make a list of those characteristics and act "as if". Practice being who you want to be for the next two weeks. Let this experience be the best ever! 🥰

I went to University and I brought my dog with. He’s 4 pounds and he did well. He was quiet and very happy to see me and we would go on walks and he would sit by me when I studied. My dog is my rock. You should take him with you. He will do.
