Idk I just can't get myself to do it. I fear when anyone approaches me. I fear that they'll tell that I'm so uptight and then I'll be the laughingstock of the group. How do I relax when I'm downstairs with my peers (besides deep breaths). Open for the support. Thanks

How do you stop fearing people?
Eric, how well do you know these people? Maybe you could try to communicate with them more, be friendly, break the awkwardness. The more you get to know them, the more you’ll learn what they are (or aren’t) thinking about. I think that would help put your mind at ease.
Eric, there's no easy solution to what you describe. Also, sadly, there are times when people project their own garbage on others, making them feel they should be ashamed or worthless. It hurts almost everytime that does happen, but one learns to ignore it... mostly because you realize that they're at fault, not you, and that there's no good point to carry that burden and worry about it. You mentioned you have a professional councilor of some sort previously, right? Have they ever brought up exposure therapy? It might help you here. As for turning off the thoughts and worry, that sadly just takes a long time and much practice:/ Sorry, I don't think I'm being very helpful :\
let yourself let loose. Sometimes you have to stand up to people for them to respect you. You will deal with anxiety even if you are the perfect chameleon for people.
