How to help...

My son has been suffering from OCD/Intrusive thoughts/Ego Dystonia for the past 8 weeks. Obviously he has good days and bad... I just don't know what to do to help. To be honest, we're really struggling ourselves.

I don't know the age of your Son, but I suffered from OCD with intrusive thoughts most of my childhood into late teens. I had to go to partial hospitalization where I did schooling, saw a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, councilor, was put on medication and learned some behavior modification, (even though it wasn't my fault, and it's not your son's fault!) I'm now 47 yrs old, and am doing better. I still suffer from depression, anxiety and bipolar 1 and 2, but am on other medication to help with that. It's so very hard. But there's help out there now, even better help. Idk if you've heard of Howey Mandel, but he's a comedian/actor who's suffered from severe OCD and anxiety. Idk quite how, but if you look him up he may have some podcasts or something to lead you in the right direction. 🙏
