Dear Shiva_kumar, what is it you fear? Anxiety/Panic attacks start with a

thought that if we allow it to grow, turns into attacks of both our mind and

our bodies. Once Anxiety takes hold of our mind, the negativity plays over

and over throughout the day and night. Medication and therapy can help

break that cycle of fear but it doesn't cure it. We must learn to accept what

we can't change and change what we can.

Acceptance of Anxiety is the "key" in reaching our goal one day.

We can't allow this bully/this tormentor of our mind to take control of our

lives. It plays a game with our mind but games are meant to win.

It's not about having strength or wishing for it to end. It's about finding methods

and tools that will override the lies that anxiety tells us.

You made the first important step in reaching out for help and support from this

caring and safe community. Welcome Shiva, we're happy to have you be a part

of our virtual family of friends. :) xx

remember it will pass soon and cant harm you. Check on line for tips. You are one of many. Years ago I thought I WAS alone with this, and that is really scary. Remember negative thoughts are lies sent to haunt you. Develop a renewed mind with thankfulness. Talk back to the lies.

Welcome. I know it isn't easy, I have PTSD and anxiety for a year now, and still fighting that uphill battle, but we all have your 6 if you need to talk and just need support.

Don’t worry Shiva you are not alone. Anxiety is cruel but you can learn tools to empower you and help teach you acceptance so you can live with the anxiety and take back control. Check out Dr Claire Weekes book Hope and Help for your nerves. You can look on YouTube or Audible. Also work on journaling or breathing exercises (deep breaths in and out of your nose while saying a positive mantra-this shall pass, I’m okay, etc) and practice for a few minutes every hour.
