I get more concerned about my 2 wee dogs than the state of the nation, in fact politics and me don't mix, i close my eyes to political infighting, they all have an unsavoury agenda whatever persuasion.
But lets get down to my important agenda which is causing me anxiety, bearing in mind my 4 legged friends are the most important creatures in my life. Wee Yonnie has to go into the vets next Monday for tooth extraction and dental clean and assessment under General anesthetic, and she is now an elderly lady and i'm worried sick. Only pet lovers can understand the anguish we go through when our pets are poorly.
My little dogs, Diva and Yonnie, have been with me through the most difficult and testing times of my life, and also my beloved Eddie who i lost 18 months ago, he was key to everything i hold dear. And when people say 'it's only a dog' they have no idea how much they matter to us, they are the innocents in our often-difficult lives, their loyalty is without question.
If the world had the heart of a dog, our world would be much kinder and richer.π

I totally understand and agree with you Secrets. My dogs π 11, he's a Sprocker, springer, cocker mix. He's awesome I run him every day but he's starting to show signs of aging now. It is a worry on top of my GAD and Fibromyalgia but fingers crossed π€ he's got a few more years in him. I'm starting to throw in a few rest days for him and me.
At a previous job a colleague was in tears as her ginger tabby had died and someone else said its only a cat and I had said how its hard to take is losing a pet no matter what creature it is!
hopefully your babies will be ok. I completely get it. Mine are my heart. You never get over losing them. Thankfully as time goes by the pain gets more manageable. There is a special place in hell for people who hurt animals. All they want it to love you. I try to give mine the best lives. They deserve to be spoiled. Itβs just never enough time.
You will always miss them as they are part of the family.
Many years ago a colleague at a previous job gave me a Christmas card with just her and her partner on it and I had asked where's Percy the cat their very spoilt brown and white tabby and said how she is part of their family and how she had been forgotten about!
Then I got handed another card that was from Percy the cat herself!
