I am suffering with acid reflux lately. I would appreciate any comments on slippery elm tablets. I have read that they are supposed to help with this problem. Thank you .

Hi, yes I have taken the powder but not the tablets and has worked well for me for tummy upset but not for acid reflux specifically as I dont suffer from this.

I can't speak to slipper elm but I can say that anxiety can cause acid reflux because our brains and our stomachs are connected. This past year mine got so bad I had to see a gastroenterologist and they found a small ulcer in my stomach. I had to take Pepcid 40mg for 3 months and Sucralfate for 3 months. My stomach got better but now that I'm still suffering anxiety my stomach is starting to hurt again and I'm having acid reflux. I've come to the conclusion that it's better to treat the anxiety than to cover the acid reflux with pills. I am trying to learn how to deal with the anxiety and cannot wait to receive Claire Weekes book that everyone here keeps talking about. You might want to see a dr to confirm it's just acid reflux and not an ulcer.

Probably a good idea to talk either with a Pharmacist or your GP. We don't have any medical qualifications.
