I used to cry all the time, or be asleep for 18 hours the rest of the time, a consequence of medication…
So…
Keep a notepad by your bed, and diary, and write a to do list before bed, and in your diary, let it all out so you might relax for sleep.
Label all the things on your list with u if it’s urgent, and i if it’s important. And prioritise everything that has a u and an i next to it, and if you get those done, move on to the u, urgent (not labelled i) stuff. That way, if the other stuff doesn’t get done, it doesn’t really matter. Then do the i, important (not labelled u) stuff if you have time.
Also, this way you’ll stop kicking yourself for spending your time on something that wasn’t as important as your priority stuff, and devalue said achievement. Remember, do something positive everyday, so everyday is a win.
Include a midday seista, and all your self care (like feeding yourself) into the list, so you make sure you don’t forget it. Routine helps. Exercise realises happy hormones (stretching exercises, not arduous ones).
And find something you love, and make sure you do it for 5min every few hours. Just to relax.
And at the end of the day, at the end of your diary entry, write 3 things you did (even the mundane of washing the dishes) that are positive, and see them as a positive achievement.
You are not useless. You are not unloved.
You are important, and it’s ok, to not be ok.
Just do what you can, and be happy for what you are able to do. And if you do nothing…
Be happy you did not do anything bad, and make a goal to do something good.
And if you did something wrong, your human. We all make mistakes. No one is infallible, even if it seems that way.
And if you did something bad, have remorse, and seek forgiveness. For every moment is another opportunity to make the rest of your life better.
Learn from the past, do not dwell.
Plan for the future, but don’t chase after it. It will come anyway.
Live in the present, and make everyday special.
Hugs 🤗
