So I'm sat here with my elderly mother, and we're watching the music channel, and David Bowie and Bing Crosby came up, and mum my pipes up, she says I've met Bing Crosby at the bottom of our road!!! Shook his hand, among a few neighbours, only a brief visit, but you never know who you meet during your lifetime, hope you all have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 😀

I've been working the holidays for the last 26 years....after a while you get used to it...I tend to work because I don't have kids and my family understands

He was visiting relatives , it was very brief visit, and onto his music and film career, my mum said it wasn't a close relative he visited, but hey , not often you get to meet the famous singer himself

Luckily for me I've never had a "badge" complex....I've been able to keep the perspective of what the offenders I deal with are capable of doing to me...I respect everyone on either side until they give me a reason not to....has gotten me out of a lot of potential craziness....and thank you

Wow! My Mum would be envious, if she was still around.Love & A Merry Christmas ♥ xxx

Cb1963, it's wonderful to allow your mother to go back in time and relive those wonderful

old memories. It's what keeps the spirit alive in the older generation. New Year's Eve is

another reminiscent time when "dancing with the stars" was not about going for a prize.

Enjoy these moments , they truly are short lived. Merry Christmas my friend to both

you and your mom. :) xx

Thank you so much, yes, the sands of time slowly gives us memories we cherish, and glimpses of our parents past, I'm sure if that video never came on television my mum wouldn't have mentioned this, sadly my father passed away in 2016 and never really had many father and son chats, and that's because he worked hard and long hours, and my unfortunate alcohol issues, I feel I've robbed part of my life away as well, Christmas can be a time for happiness but also time for reflection, I take each moment with extreme pleasure, we are only here for a short time, I wish you a peaceful and warm Christmas 🎄

Thank you for your beautiful response Cb.. You are so right that we are only here

for a short time and we never know when that time will be up.

I lost my mother 10 years ago a few days before Christmas. She was 94 but

it's never enough time when we lose those we love. Merry Christmas :) xx
