Venlafaxine and Abilify

Hi everyoneI am on Venlafaxine 126mgs because it's all I can tolerate. I am very sensitive to drugs. My Dr has advised me to add Ability but I am very wary about it. I did add mirtazapine but it made me more depressed. I am worried about side effects or getting worse. I would appreciate feedback. Thank you

I'm on both to control my depression and anxiety.

In the beginning I was off and on so many meds due to side effects. I just kept going till they found the right combination.

I struggled with adding the Abilify as it has so many side effects. I take a small dose every other day

I’d go for the abilify I went off mirtazapinr &! on abilify. It was like magic. I lost a lot of weight and my depression/ anxiety got better. Just letting you know Abilify is safe and effective.

After a single medication trial doesn't work, a combination of medications is common treatment for mental health conditions.

Finding the right combination for you from about 50 antidepressants available to your doctor is going to be more trial and error I am afraid.

Your prescriber will choose the best ones for you based on your history and their experience with the meds.

As Dolphin14 said, you have to keep going until you find the right combo. I hope it's going to be sooner rather than later🐈‍⬛

Hi ryanlion i would stick with the venlafaxine ive found it works very as long as you dont miss doses i agree mitrazapime can cause problems but dont they all the dose your on of venlafaxine is not to high as im on 225mg and it works for me alway take your doctors advice as they are best placed to help you ,i wish you all the best hope you have a great christmas
