has anyone felt energy from gabapentin

I’ve been struggling with my depression again this season and my dr prescribed gabapentin for my morning anxiety. She told me to take 1 before bed and 1 when I wake up. The next day, I felt pretty good. Almost too good. I felt like I couldn’t sit still and I wasn’t myself. Has anyone had that happen? And that quickly after taking it?

I’ve never taken that medication before. it’s really interesting that it was prescribed as take 1 before bed then 1 in the morning. it’s like the opposite of the normal take 1 in the morning and 1 at night…

yeah I don’t get it. I didn’t take them today. I didn’t like that feeling. But now I’m feeling low. I’ll give my dr. A call tomorrow

I've been taking it for years for my anxiety. I'll never forget the first time I took one. I was doubtful because I had tried a lot of drugs with no success. But after I took it the first time I said to myself "Well I'll Be Damn" My Psy Dr. says it makes SOME of her patients feel worse though.

I have never taken that medication before, but I remember years ago my doctor put me on an antidepressant (I think it was for symptoms related to my period) and I felt SO energized after taking it for a few days that it scared me. My energy level was abnormal, and I stopped taking the medication. Medication is funny, and it affects everyone differently. Also, the side effects of medication change over time.
