Struggling at the moment

I have had anxiety and depression for many years but it has been controlled by medication and I am ok most of the time. However my husband has been unwell since February this year with on going stomach pain and diarrhoea and fatigue.

He has had various blood tests and a colonoscopy which have all been ok.

They have arranged for a rectal ct scan tomorrow to eliminate (hopefully) the possibility of bowel cancer .

As I lost my mum to bowel cancer in 1990 I am terrified of this test telling us that he has it so my anxiety is through the roof.

Can I ask for prayers for him from those who pray and for healing thoughts from everyone else?

I am so scared right now. I rely on him so much for emotional support and practical care that life will be unbearable without him. 😢😢😢

It sounds like he may have SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth) which can cause the symptoms he is having. It is when our gut gets overwhelmed with unhealthy bacteria/enzymes and needs to b e rebalanced. He can get tested and work with a Naturopath to change his diet and heal it, hopefully that is what he is dealing with.

Just a quick update. My husband went to his doctors surgery today and got a copy of the letter sent by the hospital about his scan as it never arrived in the post. The scan found nothing of concern so he has been discharged back to his GP.

I am so grateful for all the support that you have given us. It made a difficult situation easier to deal with xx
