I'm assuming you mean a contraceptive implant, and YES. Mood swings and depression are absolutely possible side effects. Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) may be what you are experiencing, and if you never had it before the implant, then the implant has most likely triggered it because it has changed your hormone balance.
